When used correctly there is no risk on using mods, specially when played offline on a EmuMMC or with a emulator.
Should I use emuMMC or sysMMC?
Since there is no real online fuctionalities on Tomodachi Life games, we highly recommend using EmuMMC (emunand), since it’s a safe place to mod without having to worry about bans.
